A plain-language account of what our free assessment and diagnostic tools collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to ask for a copy, a correction, or a deletion.
Every one of these tools can be completed start to finish, with full scored results, without giving us a name or an email address. Your answers and scores are calculated in your browser. We never send them to a server unless you choose to purchase a full report -- and if you never do, we have no record that you took the assessment at all.
If you buy the full report for either of these two tools, the name, email, and your aggregate dimension scores are passed to Stripe at checkout as part of the payment record. We don't maintain a separate database of these -- the Stripe transaction itself is the only place this information is held on our side, governed by Stripe's own data handling as our payment processor.
The same applies to the Board Brief paid report: your name, email, and scores are recorded as part of the Stripe checkout. Separately, if you opt in to the Intelligence Atlantique newsletter, your email is added to our Beehiiv mailing list -- this is a distinct, opt-in step, not something that happens automatically when you purchase a report.
This instrument is the one exception to "no separate database." Because its purpose is to compare how an organization decides before a change against how it decides after that change -- often six to twelve months apart, and sometimes completed by a different person each time -- we keep one durable record per purchase in a private Google Sheet ("SPG Decision-Quality Baseline Records"), so the two measurements can be matched.
That record includes: your organization's name, a normalized version of that name used purely to match the pre- and post-records together, the change/intervention you described and its date, your six dimension scores, your name and email as given at checkout, and your choice on whether your results can be used in anonymized research. If the Sheet write ever fails for technical reasons, the same information is sent as a backup record to our internal inbox so nothing is silently lost -- it is never discarded.
There is deliberately no self-serve login or portal for this Sheet. If you've lost a report link, want a copy of what's on file for your organization, or think something looks wrong, you can submit a request from either Decision-Quality Baseline page. We will automatically send your report link(s) back to you only if the email you provide exactly matches the email already on file for your organization's record. Any other case -- including simply not knowing the email used at checkout -- is handled by a person, typically within two business days, rather than auto-approved or auto-denied.
For any of the five tools above, you can ask us at any time to tell you what we have on file for you, correct it, or delete it. For the Decision-Quality Baseline specifically, use the in-page records-request form; for anything else, just email us directly.

Who else touches this data: Stripe processes all payments and holds checkout records as our payment processor. Resend sends transactional emails (report links, confirmations, records requests) on our behalf. Beehiiv hosts our optional newsletter list. Google Sheets hosts the Decision-Quality Baseline pairing record described above. None of these tools are used to advertise to you or sold to third parties.
