Data Practices

A plain-language account of what our assessment and diagnostic tools collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to ask for a copy, a correction, or a deletion.

Last updated: July 2026
The short version: taking any of our free assessments anonymously (without buying a report) leaves nothing on our servers. Your answers live only in your browser and disappear if you close the tab or refresh. The only information we keep is what you explicitly hand over at the point of purchasing a paid report, and for one instrument (the Decision-Quality Baseline) a small organizational record we keep specifically so a "before" and "after" measurement can be matched up later.

AI Readiness Assessment, Governance Compass, Judgment Diagnostic, Decision-Quality Baseline, Strategic Intelligence Architecture

No server storageNo email required

Every one of these tools can be completed start to finish, with full scored results, without giving us a name or an email address. Your answers and scores are calculated in your browser. We never send them to a server unless you choose to purchase a full report; and if you never do, we have no record that you took the assessment at all.

Purchasing a report

Governance Compass & Judgment Diagnostic

Stripe checkout only

If you buy the full report for either of these two tools, the name, email, and your aggregate dimension scores are passed to Stripe at checkout as part of the payment record. We don't maintain a separate database of these; the Stripe transaction itself is the only place this information is held on our side, governed by Stripe's own data handling as our payment processor.

Purchasing a report

AI Readiness Assessment: Board Brief

Stripe checkoutOptional newsletter

The same applies to the Board Brief paid report: your name, email, and scores are recorded as part of the Stripe checkout. Separately, if you opt in to the Intelligence Atlantique newsletter, your email is added to our Beehiiv mailing list; this is a distinct, opt-in step, not something that happens automatically when you purchase a report.

Strategic Intelligence Architecture

Stripe checkout only

SIA is available as a single-engine report ($25 CAD, covering one of eight cognitive engines) or a full report ($147 CAD, covering all eight). In both cases the data flow is the same: your encoded assessment scores, along with the name and email provided at Stripe checkout, are stored as part of the Stripe payment record. We do not maintain a separate copy. The encoded scores live in the Stripe transaction metadata: they are the values our report page uses to render your results when you return with your confirmation link, and nothing more.

Research record (SIA purchases)

Strategic Intelligence Architecture: Research Records

Stripe checkoutGoogle Sheet record

Every completed SIA purchase (whether a single-engine report or the full eight-engine report) also writes one row to a private Google Sheet ("SPG SIA Research Records"). That row includes your name, email, session ID, the product you purchased, your RQI level, and your scores across all eight engines (BPS, SRP, CPI, and Role Demand). We keep this record for three purposes: statistical validation of the instrument (aggregate score patterns across respondents), session recovery if a report link is ever lost, and as the foundation for future team and multi-respondent products where scores across people need to be grouped and compared. No record from this Sheet is shared with third parties or used for advertising.

If you want to know what we have on file for your session, or want it corrected or deleted, contact us directly at pablo@spgresearch.com.

Booking an interpretation session

Strategic Intelligence Architecture: Interpretation Session

Calendly bookingStripe payment via Calendly

If you book a 90-minute SIA Interpretation Session ($895 CAD), the appointment is managed through Calendly. The name, email, and answers to the optional intake questions (which product you purchased, your role, and what you would like to focus on) go to Calendly as the booking record. Payment is collected through Stripe via Calendly's payment integration at the time of booking. We receive your booking details but do not copy them into a separate internal database; the Calendly record and the Stripe transaction are the durable stores.

Purchasing pre- or post-instrument reports

Decision-Quality Baseline

Stripe checkoutGoogle Sheet record

This instrument is the one exception to "no separate database." Because its purpose is to compare how an organization decides before a change against how it decides after that change (often six to twelve months apart, and sometimes completed by a different person each time); we keep one durable record per purchase in a private Google Sheet ("SPG Decision-Quality Baseline Records"), so the two measurements can be matched.

That record includes: your organization's name, a normalized version of that name used purely to match the pre- and post-records together, the change/intervention you described and its date, your six dimension scores, your name and email as given at checkout, and your choice on whether your results can be used in anonymized research. If the Sheet write ever fails for technical reasons, the same information is sent as a backup record to our internal inbox so nothing is silently lost; it is never discarded.

There is deliberately no self-serve login or portal for this Sheet. If you've lost a report link, want a copy of what's on file for your organization, or think something looks wrong, you can submit a request from either Decision-Quality Baseline page. We will automatically send your report link(s) back to you only if the email you provide exactly matches the email already on file for your organization's record. Any other case (including simply not knowing the email used at checkout) is handled by a person, typically within two business days, rather than auto-approved or auto-denied.

Bilingual document assurance

Bilingual AI Assurance: Parity Scan, Reviewed Check & Certified Document

In-browser scanStripe checkoutSecure intake

The Automated Parity Scan runs entirely in your browser: the documents you paste are analyzed on your own device and are not sent to us to produce the scan results. When you choose to pay for a scan, your document text is transmitted once to a private pricing function we operate on Google's Apps Script platform, for one purpose: counting the words to compute the exact price. The function does not store your text. The Stripe payment record keeps only the service tier and the word count, never the document itself.

For the Reviewed Parity Check and Certified Document services, you submit your English and French documents through our secure intake page. Those submissions, including your contact details and uploaded files, are captured by Netlify (our site host) and used solely to deliver the review or certification you purchased. Files are treated as confidential material, are shared only with the assigned reviewer (and, for Certified Documents, the domain expert), and are never used to train any AI system. Payments for all three services are processed by Stripe.

Purchasing an assessment

HL Leaders Scan (Individual & Team)

No server storage of answersStripe checkout only

The free HL Leaders Scan preview runs entirely in your browser and leaves nothing on our servers. When you purchase the full instrument, the name and email you provide at checkout are held in the Stripe payment record; that record is the only personal information kept on our side, and it is used to verify your access to the gated assessment. Your 21 scenario responses and your signal profile are computed in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you want a permanent copy, use the print or save-as-PDF option on the results page; we do not retain one. For team purchases, each participant's responses are handled the same way: individually, in-browser, with no server record.

Requesting access, a correction, or deletion

For any of the tools above, you can ask us at any time to tell you what we have on file for you, correct it, or delete it. For the Decision-Quality Baseline specifically, use the in-page records-request form; for anything else, just email us directly.

Who else touches this data: Stripe processes all payments and holds checkout records as our payment processor. Resend sends transactional emails (report links, confirmations, records requests) on our behalf. Beehiiv hosts our optional newsletter list. Google Sheets hosts two separate records: the Decision-Quality Baseline pairing record described above, and the SIA Research Records sheet described above. Calendly manages appointment scheduling and holds booking records for SIA Interpretation Sessions; payments for those sessions flow through Stripe via Calendly's integration. For the Bilingual AI Assurance services, Google Apps Script runs the word-count pricing function (no document storage) and Netlify captures secure intake submissions and uploaded files. None of these tools are used to advertise to you or sold to third parties.
